Summer 2011

What a fun summer we've had so far.  We went on a trip for the 4th of July to the Snake River with our good friends who happen to be Trevor's boss.  We had a small get together for my birthday. Hailey is taking swim classes at the pool. This month we will be celebrating Trevor's 30th Birthday and next month Brooklyn will be turning 1! WOW!  Here are a few pictures of the fun stuff we've been up to.

4th of July, 2009

We had a great 4th of July, Nana and Papa came over for a bbq'd chicken on the treager, then fireworks. Hailey got to throw pop-it's and then light sparklers (closely supervised, for you firework police out there) We got to watch the fireworks at the University from our back yard. The fireworks don't start until 10 PM, because it doesn't get dark here until like 9 or 9:30 PM here. Hailey got to watch the fireworks and go right to bed, which was really nice. We had a really great day. Hope you did too!

Day Trip the Snake River

I think I sent out an email with pictures of our trip to the Snake River with our cool friends Paul and Allesha. We had a great time on their giant boat, and Hailey had a fun first trip to the river. When we moved to La Grande, I was kind of afraid that our children would not be able to experience the same fun trips that we did growing up, like going to the river, mountains, theme parks, or Las Vegas. Turns out that Vegas is still pretty far from us, but the river is about 2 hours away, in either direction. And the mountains are pretty much were we live, but for the real mountain effect we only have to drive about 2 hours. So this place we now call home, isn't that much different from where we grew up after all..... kinda!
